Royal Flush:

An Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten in the same suit.

Straight Flush

Five cards in sequence, of the same suit.

Straight Flush

Four of a kind

Four cards of the same rank, and one side card

Four Of A Kind

Full house

Three cards of the same rank, and two cards of a different, matching rank.

Full House

Flush

Five cards of the same suit.

Flush

Straight

Five cards in sequence

Straight

Three of a kind

Three cards of the same rank, and two unrelated side cards

Three of a Kind

Two pair

Two cards of a matching rank, another two cards of a different matching rank, and one side card

Two Pair

One pair

Two cards of a matching rank, and three unrelated side cards

One Pair

High Card

Any hand that does not qualify under a category listed above.
Highest card wins, and if necessary, the second-highest, third-highest, fourth-highest and smallest card can be used to break the tie.

Lots of Sonnets

The only problem with the free sites is they don't necessarily encourage a style of poker that consistently wins money, although it certainly beats learning by losing lots of money. I just won a month's membership in a poker school that allegedly has competition comparable to competitive real money tables, and it's a whole other game. I'm struggling so far.
